Type A, type B, type AC, type AC+S, type A+S, type F and type G
AC Type : It is a residual current protection switch that protects AC currents and allows the direction of AC current to change. It is used in portable electrical systems such as lighting and socket circuits, workshops, irrigation systems, non-critical medical devices, cold storage and caravan-camping systems.
AC+S Type : It is a combination of AC type and delayed type residual current circuit breakers. They are used for accurate leakage current protection even in very complex electromagnetic environments by detecting leakage currents occurring at time fluctuating and changing frequencies with sensitivity (both AC and pure sinusoidal AC leakage sensitivity of 10-30mA separately). It is used in areas where safety and selectivity are critical, such as main distribution boards, oil refineries and natural gas and subsea energy distribution systems, intensive care units, thermal and nuclear power plants, large logistics centers.
Type A : It protects against earth leakage in AC currents and DC currents up to a certain frequency. It is used in areas such as air conditioning systems, production and assembly lines, medical devices and equipment and laboratories, electric vehicle charging stations, PV inverters, solar energy panels and equipment, ship-aviation equipment, PLC-robotic and sensor systems.
Type A+S: It senses and protects the earth leakage current by activating with a certain time delay in AC currents and in systems where pulsative direct current components are detected. Motor drives, energy storage systems, telecommunication towers, base station electrical systems
Type B : It protects against earth leakage currents in systems with complex waveforms containing harmonic components in both AC and DC currents. The most comprehensive type of residual current protection switch. It is therefore used in a wide range of fields such as PV systems, frequency converters, MRI and other medical devices, UPS and backup energy systems, data processing centers, wind turbines and hydroelectric systems, offshore platforms.
Type F : It protects against AC currents and earth leakage currents caused by rectified single-phase frequency-controlled systems. It is used to ensure safe distribution, especially in single-phase control systems such as frequency converters and motor drives.
Type G : It detects and protects against high currents caused by the use of AC and industrial machines and high power equipment.
